Songs for a Summer Evening
We are delighted to return, once again, to the charming garden setting of Markshall to sing a programme of light music. We hope there will be something to delight everyone! What more could you want on a summer’s evening?
Tickets £18 to include a welcome drink on arrival and interval refreshments available at: www.markshall.org.uk/whatson

The varied programme of light music includes folksongs (both Hungarian and English) as well as three beautiful songs by English composers, Finzi, Elgar and Sullivan. Our own Chris Phelps has arranged three of Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘Songs of Travel’ to melodies composed by Ralph Vaughan Williams. We pay tribute to the Beatles with arrangements of some of their famous numbers, and we will sing some light Jazz!
